Just to let you know that I went back and exchanged the unit and popped the new one in and presto, no problems. Unit was reconized properly and working fine, no freezing. On a sidenote when I went back to exchange the unit I bought 2 days ago there were 2 other ones at the exchange desk behind the person, looks like I wasn't the only one having problems. Also on the new unit the packaging included was different. There was more documentation with the unit, the CD with software was packaged different and the new unit also had plastic protecting the silver on the face of the unit. Almost like the previous unit was and old one repackaged...weird when you consider it was purchased from a big electronics store. Anyways thanks everyone for your help!
