Problems copying a CD w/Nero

For some reason, I have been having problems copying CD’s with Nero 5.582. I was able to copy then fine, no problem, for a while, but then I could no longer copy CD’s on the fly. Now, I can’t even copy a CD not on the fly. It will copy the whole CD onto the hard drive, but then, before it starts to burn, it comes up with a “communication failed”, and I believe it also says “unable to read”. I’ve already tried uninstalling both my DVD-ROM, and CD-RW from device manager. I also uninstalled, and reinstalled Nero. Nothing worked.

Any advice?

Get a newer, or older version of nero, seem to remember similar problems with 5.5.8x

OK. I’ve been using this version of Nero with no problems for about a year. It’s just recent that I have been having these problems. But, I will give it a try. Thanx.

I just upgraded my version of Nero to 5.5.9.14 and I now have all of the functions of my Plextor back including copy on the fly!
