Problems burning with NEC ND-3500AG

I have a problem when I tries to burn CD’s.
I’m using the newest software from Nero (ver. 6.3.1.25).

When I’m trying to burn, it says “Could not perform end of Disc-at-once”, and the log from testburning shows this:

It was working fine with an older version of Nero (ver. 5 - does not support DVD), but when I installed the new software from Nero, the NEC burner doesn’t work.

Can someone please help me?

it looks like you don’t have dma on the drive… check in device manager and get dma enabled on the drive. Also looks like you are trying to do multi-session I think there have been some issues with that and certain firmwares… have you tried not doing multi-session just burning and finalizing a CD… they are so cheap these days that Multi-session is not really necessary.

I have solved one problem. I can burn CD’s, but when I tries to burn DVD’s it returns with the same errors (without multisession).
I have looked at the device manager, but I cannot find the place where to enable DMA.

The problem with the burning arise when I connect the other DVD-drive (Plextor PX-116A). If I disconnect the Plextor device, it works perfectly when I burn CD’s and DVD’s. If I connect the Plextor device, I can only burn CD’s without errors.

Is there a problem with Nero perhaps? I have tried Nero ver. 6.3.1.25 + 6.3.1.20 and ver. 6.6.0.0 + 6.6.0.1.

Hi, sorry to bring up an old topic like this, but I’m having the same exact issue now. I had my 3500 away in my closet for over a year, but just now, I built another computer and put it to use again. It’s an asus p5l-mx which has the 945g+ich7. I’m running winxp x64 at the moment with the latest nero. I’ve got the w2k3r2 trial iso’s that I’m trying to burn, but at the end of each, it fails to end disc at once and fails in the same manner. I need out of x64, but can’t create x86 iso’s of w2k3r2!!!

Edit: Should be noted also that udma2 is active, and I’m trying dao finalize for the cd iso. I have the intel chipset inf’s installed as well
