Problems burning DVD's (Nero & Ashampoo)

vbimport

#1

Hi, im having trouble burning dvd’s, I converted the AVI to dvd format *with WINAVI) and tried burning with nero 7 ultra edition (using the burn dvd-videoa files option) and it gave me a write error, It does the same with making my own dvd too, It did the same with my original nero 6 and it also fails using Ashampoo burning studio.

Im using DATASAFE 4.7gb General purpose DVD-R discs, these discs have always worked for me so i don’t blame them, My grandad owns EXACTLY the same pc as myself and he has no problems burning with this media.

I have a TSSTCorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B installed and its been doing this for months, I tried before and gave up but now i really want to be able to burn my DVD files onto disc. Im not sure if its firmware? if so i have no clue whats the latest and where to get it. I do however have a nero log

Update:

Tried burning with Imgburn, Imgburn successfully created the ISO file but failed whe it came to burn.

I opened up my pc and made sure the cables were in etc, as i had bought and had extra RAM installed earlier this year around the time the problems started, No such luck there. Anyone else have suggestions?
