Vista does not like RPC1 drives. Maybe this is the problem…

All my drives are RPC1 and they’re working fine.

ace131

how did you solve the problem?

My drive’s a Plextor px-716a and I’ve been having the same problem with vista ultimate 64.

Been re-installing 3 times yesterday, thinking I was doing something wrong.
Thought it had something to do with the inboard soundcard (ac97 on a A8N32-Sli deluxe).

please share wisdom

Suggest you also check your motherboard manufacturer’s site for bios and driver updates for Vista.
