Problem with starting PC

Every morning when I boot up my system I have a little problem:

First I put it on (push the power button)… the system boots but I don’t see anything on my screen. Seems like my video card isn’t turned on…
so I put the pc off (push the power button again)

then I put it on again (power button…) and everything works!

so every morning I put my pc on twice…

anyone know why??

has it something to do with the power supply? (in dutch: aarding)… how do I fix it??

(also my pc is not tuning off automatically when i shut it down, perhaps that;s got something to do with it… i do have an ATX)

Could it be Power management in BIOS.

Grounding (aarden in Dutch  )could be an issue, but I would suggest looking at Power Management features in both BIOS and Windows

Why’d you turn off your computer anyway

hmm don’t think so, because I turned it all off…

why would that have anything to do with the start up probs anyway…
I already checked PM for the auto turn-off, but everything is OK in there…

Buy a new pc! :stuck_out_tongue:
That commodore64 you’re using really needs 2 B replaced buddy!

Have you tried putting that card in a different computer is seeing if it does on that computer, because if it does then the vid card might be kind of flaking out

Why not go back to the place u got the PC from?!

Let them worry about it…

To me it sounds like a bad quality power supply. Also I had a problem with ATX power on switches - turnes on when u press the button, and goes off as soon as you release the button.

Does the computer make any noises (like POST beeps), what lights come on?

Try setting your CPU to lower speed…

Let us know.
