Problem with -R DL disc being reported as siingle layer

vbimport

#1

Hi,
I have some new DL discs here.

Windows finds them and will write to them fine. Theu’re reported as 7.95G. DVDFab wont write to them though. I get to the “Scanning writeable mediaq in drive D:” and it then ejects the disc and tells me “Media in drive D:\ is single layer.” Any ideas?

DVDFab uses [by default] VSO burning SDK. please download and install VSO Inspector.

Thanks for the link to the inspector. Turns out my drive didn’t really supporrt -R DL. At least not with the Dell firmware, so I crossflashed it, now it’s fine.
