Problem with my TS-L532M

I got this in an HP Pavilion dv5000 about 2 months ago. Since then, I’ve burned quite a few DVDs. About a week or two ago, the time that it took to encode and burn DVDs increased drastically. I attempted to encode a movie and the estimated time said 2 hours, 10 minutes. I use Shrink and Nero and uninstalled and reinstalled both with no luck. Is it possible that the drive is getting burned out.

I bought it at CompUSA and got their 3-year warranty, should I just take it to them and have them fix it?

Thanks

Any luck with this yet? Did you get it fixed? I have the same problem with the same drive. I returned mine to the retailer, and they exchanged it, only to have it pull the same crap again.
