my medion laptop doesn´t recognise my new dvddrive. doesn´t boot up in bios
i think i don´t need to update it and a friend told me that i have to change it from master to slave. don´t realy have a clue and seems quite complicated. can anybody help me out what software i need and how it all works. thanks a lot
You need to get a slimline IDE adapter (~$10 USD on eBay) and hook the drive up to a desktop computer on the secondary IDE channel. Then flash a slave bootcode, reinstall the drive to your laptop, go into Windows and flash a slave firmware. The only firmware you can use on this page is are the ND-7550 1.P1 firmware (DO NOT TRY THE OTHERS).
