message during burn: DMA-driver error, CRC error
Nero version 7! DMA enabled
Welcome to cdfreaks
This problem is probably caused by transmission errors on the IDE cable. Use a 80 wire flat cable and disconnected a second device from the cable.
I had exact same problem using Nero 7. 2. 0. 3, with new BenQ dw655 - sorted it by changing jumper on back of drive from master to slave (got 2 drives other set to master) - works perfect now
and are you using the Ultra DMA IDE 80-pin Cable, or the 40 washman?..
cause i’m dealing (along with, i found, many others) with the same problem, and i have the 40-pin cable…Buying the 80 romorrow, seein if that does it.

They are all 40 pin (connectors), but they differ with wires.
I have read various posts of “DMA-driver error, CRC error”.
In my case, previously I can write CD/DVDs without problem.
From time to time, I install, uninstall various other softwares.
Then, I got this error. Thown at least 5 DVDs.
My solution: uninstall Nero and ReInstall.
Back to normal.
