all automatic settings using asus 5224A drive with 1.1 firmware.
backup will not play with autoplay enabled on target machine…first title ive seen that hasnt worked. May want to look into older sd protection vso something has changed.
title backs up perfectly with alc 120, diskdump/fireburner on same drive.
what version you using jamos …I am using 110 and tested sd 2.5 up to sd 3.1and no problems with autoplay and without … .
version 110 on the asus 5224A using full automatic settings…it works on my asus drive and my liteons and plextor but will not work on my problematic drives ie laptop…everything else ive copied ive had not problems with. trying now on my plex premium. The laptop absoluty needs emulation. also it seems to read the disk very quickly more quickly than other disks ive copied…like i said before other programs can copy this no problem.
no go with plex…it seems that bw5 is not using autoplay on the burn on this. im going to try to force it to use autoplay so it works on my laptop drive else ill have to use hide atip on the laptop which i didnt need to do before.
yes try the tweaker and force autoplay …when did you download your version of 110 ? just wondering …
i just did 2.7 game and worked fine on all three of my systems that are near me …
used autoplay too just ot make sure and did them without autoplay too
i downloaded it from the link on thier website not from thier ftp site so id say its a safe copy…like i said im not getting any problems with it and securerom or sd2.9 and autoplay just this title Halo.
looking at the log it was using autoplay all the time. when i use alc120 it works fine…ie all i have to do is hide atip with alc120 installed.
using bw5 automatic settings will not work get tmp errors on this drive…it may be good enough copy for your drives but not this one. also using a higher speed media gives me a coaster that will not run on any drives burned with bw5 110.

ps gio is there any good hide atip standalone programs out there? i have alc120 but hate to have to install it on all my computers when i dont use autoplay.

seems like a media problem to me…as the first time i used a 12x cdr and you notice bw chooses 52x for the writing speed?? the next was a 48x cdr but it would only work in some drives after a long verify period. I sure wish they would listen and give us the option to override the write speed. I really think it is needed.
well stand alone i just ue the autoplay stand alone player is on there ftp site … I used plex premium too … I have four burners not including dvd burners that i can use … .using tweaker did you force autoplay ???

so you use autoplay then for all your backups if your using autoplay standalone only though your premium does hide the media for its own drive. Yes the second burn was forced autoplay with tweaker…it plays on my plex and my asus after a long time trying to verify itself. alc120 copy comes up immediatly. but it will not play on my laptop at all. alc120 copy works fine on my laptop with a external ignore cdr media installed (ie alc120).
yes I use autoplay and it hides it fine . … even on other drives on other people machine I just install the autoplay stand alone client and it does fine …
I so far have nto ran into a drive it dont work on but sure there might be some exceptions somewhere …
u said it takes it awhile to load up …I have not issues mine sometimes load faster …
acn you look in device manager under atapi devices and tell me if your drives are using dma mode ? and if so what mode …also what chipset you have ?
did you look at the write speeds?? thats got to be it man…writing 52x on a 12x cdr media just isnt going to make a good copy!! dma settings are fine using xp pro nforce2 chipset…its not those as i said any other program copies this title fine.
and yes up to now autoplay has worked great for me yes even faster load times…but not this title.
you said nforce 2 …i am running that chipset and to get alll my games playing correctly and burning i had to use MS drivers and not drivers that came with the disc or update ones from web site …what drivers are u using … ???
pretty sure they are ms drivers since ive downloaded sp1 i beleive it replaced all the drivers with sp1 drivers…how do i tell?
im going to try it on my laptop i have a external teac drive which is a rebagged asus 52x…the laptop is definatly using ms drivers for the motherboard.
ok i can confirm that i have the nvidia motherboard drivers…how would i go back to the stock drivers short of reformat?
laptop is nogo either…its definatly something to do with autoplay or the media im using still burning way to fast!! there needs to be a way to control the write speed!! the title runs fine with just hiding atip with alc120. i doubt its my drives or my motherboard settings…two different computers same problem. tmp errors when playing from this laptop drive with autoplay 3. i dont have other sd2.7 titles that i can try right now. for now just wont use autoplay with this title.
VSO blindwrite 4.5.7 backs this title up fine with autoplay on same drive that Blindwrite 5 beta 110 will not. the problem has to be with blindwrite5 (im thinking because i cannot slow down the write speed on my media). I really think you need to seriously consider to add a feature to override the write speed in your program. I can understand you wanting to keep it simple but without write speed control your great product is marred.
backing up securerom titles with blindwrite5 still works great as the write speed is at 4x. So that is probably why im not getting problems with media as i do with safedisk backups.
If I had my choice i would just write all my media at 4x speed…though i cannot without a speed control.
ok now i have a dilima…if i use 4.5.7 to backup safedisk cds and bw 5 for my secure roms my autoplay3 is not backwards compatable with the 4.5.7 backups…arrg!:o

I have an F11 GA-7N400Pro with not a single problem.
It’s always the settings of the burning app, or DMA or a copy protection bug that produces unexpected behaviour in the burning app, 99.99% of the time.

okay for you they my be fine …but I know for a fact six other people we have tried updated drivers and newest patches and all other things and you know one of them real well he is a mod …portmac …and even other mods became aware of the nvidia bug if you read the other posts …I ran across this when i got my board and figured it out before it was even mentioned in the forum and talked to other users that had it and the nvidia drivers do cause a problem with them …they stop sd 2.9 games from running …also on other apps other than blindwrite they have caused a problem … also I am sure since you know everything …that you know via chipset caused problem cause via released chipset that used via tools and it caused issues … it is not non sense …and you should know that sometimes stuff happens …I have same board as you future proof but one step above with giga lan … and if you would like to test what i have typed out then go ahead and see if the all knowing finds out yes it does cause a problem
i respect you future more than you do me but that is not important …also if you put it back to ms drivers and run test on how fast and effective there is not a performace issue …but it does causes issues …I have pointed them out as stated above … via has fixed there problem with via tools on a silent update they put on there web site … around two months ago … if it didnt know … it was not even announced …
nvidia as far as I knwo has not made a fix for it but they could hvae done a silent one that i am unaware about … but format after format and test them has not conclude for me and my group of technicians
yes the type of error he is getting sounds like a problem with the protection and where abouts I am unsure about yet … and yes temp errors usually indicated how the copy was backed up … I agree there and I agree with you about dma and other issues you mentioned …
but i had to say above about drivers and yes they do cause problems at times …just like sometimes having scsi drivers and burning stuff in nero …roxio and backups with blindwrite and even using alcohol do cause problems at times with those drivers and have been tested even with latest . …
but I am sure since you do ignore what i say and write this is nothign that would even interest you or you probably already know it all … .
one thing I found out about people that claim to know it all they really dont and stop learning cause they THINK they know it all and stop learning …
also some software cause problems too packet writing and other stuff and some software like alcohol and clonecd verson dont cause problems with games either then too ? sure next thing you will say there is nothing like that going on either or incompatable memory with some motherboards either or incompatable video cards
