Problem with DVD Quality on PS2 and other Cheap DVD Players!

Hey I’ve just started burning DVDs and apperantly the quality isnt very good on PS2 and Some DVD Players (Playback Quality not Picture). On PS2 the movie usually plays for 30mins and then it just freezes and stuttering and then dosent play at all and on some DVD players it does the same. Ive tried lowering the burn speed and Disabling the programs etc but i still have the same problem. My mate usually burns on his PC sometimes and his work perfect not even one stutter even when you scratch the DVD too. Pleeeeeeeeezzzz write Back soon

Welcome to the forum

Sounds like a media problem since you’ve already tried lowering the burn speed. PS2s can be picky as well IIRC.

Can you download and run CD-DVD Speed, put one of the discs you’re using into your drive, and click on the “Disc Info” tab.

That will list the manufacturer and MID info, which is what I’d like to know. Thanks

Well, I’m not the best person to ask about what media PS2s like to eat unfortunately, but I will tell you one thing:

RITEK G05 is known to degrade at a fast rate, so I hope there’s nothing important on there.

If you go to our Blank Media forum, and do a Search for “PS2 media”, you’ll get some hits, as it’s been discussed in there a lot.

I’d suggest using good media like Verbatim in most cases like this…
