For some reason, when I use Internet Explorer, when I want to download zip files, it doesn't ask me where I want to save the file anymore, it just automatically saves the file to a temporary folder. I think that I accidentally unchecked the "ask what to do with this type of file" button. I was wondering where I can find the options so that I can change it back to ask where I want to save the file every time
There should be an option under Tools, Internet Options and then Advanced.
You can also try the Reset Defaults button on the same window.
I dont know if that'll work Womble, I think he needs to go to (in ordinary explorer, not internet explorer) Tools->Folder options (do not know what it says exactly in english OS) then Filetypes and scroll down to zip and then advanced and tick "confirm opening of file".
It's also possible to right click on the link to the zip file and select save as...
@ TekWiz, yeah, but at some sites, when u d/l, it automatically "pops up", so right clicking wont work
@Airhead TY, it worked. You would think that they would put something related to downloading in IE options

Sorry about that. I wonder what I was thinking of then. I didn't check it I just put down what I thought I remembered doing.
