Problem with discs not starting properly

I’ve been using DVDFab for a while, and have used it successfully to make a large number of backups.

Lately I’ve been experiencing an oddity that has me confused. Like I’ve always done, I’ll do a custom split, creating two .ISO files.

I’ll use either Decrypter of DVDFab to burn onto a single layer DVD-R (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim) and up until now all has been just fine.

The burned disc will play fine on my pc, but every once in awhile (and it is happening more frequently) when I attempt to play in either of my DVD players (Toshiba HD-A3 or Sony 350) the movie will either skip past the first chapter, or not load once the PLAY option is selected from the disc menu.

I’ve made a lot of successful backups, and I’m not doing anything differently, and I’m using what has been consistently reliable media.

Any ideas?

I have one Idea switch to ImgBurn as the burn engine. Here is a link to a youtube video on how to configure Imgburn and DVDFab to work together

Thanks, I’ll give that a try!

Is it advisable to ditch Decrypter for burning altogether?

This worked - thanks for the heads up.

I guess I was stuck in the “old ways” of doing things, and still relying on outdated burning software was one of them. :o

Thanks again…

If you meant that you use the default burn engine in DVDFab then I should let you know that some users have problems using that. Those problems disappear when Nero or ImgBurn is used as the burn engine instead. But ImgBurn is the better one I think. Well glad it all working now for you
