Problem with D/l Dvds (Philips SPD6005)

[qanda]This thread is about the Philips SPD6005. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I bought my first lot of D/l dvds AONE (Ricoh Do1. 067 Dye) to burn on my new Phillips spd6005t burner. No probs they all burned ok. I then found much cheaper on BigPockets a tub of 50 unbranded but the same dye much cheaper. No go so far all I have managed is coasters. Why should this be if both dvds are using the same dye or is it to do with getting what you pay for???

Aone aren’t the best quality DLs to begin with, but it’s possible the unbranded ones are B-grade or even C-grade D01’s.

So yes, pretty much a case of getting what you pay for. With anything other than Verbatim DLs, though, anything is a gamble.
