I have a 451S fw-GSB7, burnt a dozen of PS2 games and some data backups using Ridata DVD-R 4x. and all of them had very good scans in Kprobe2. the PS2 games work flawlessly as well.
But i had a problem with my DVD-Rom SONY DDU1612(now a XJ-HD166S), it simply cannot run Nero CD speed(gives an error) on any DVD-R disc, and usually playback of videos/music from the disc freezes for a few seconds from time to time, copying data from my backups either produces error or are EXTREMELY slow.
I flashed my burner to 851S with GS0H, but the problem is still there. I gave my burnt disc to a mate, and he successfully completed the CD speed test on his DVD-Rom(very slow though), the test is attached below
So i'm just wondering if it really is my DVD-rom that is playing up, but if that is the case, how come the speed test on another DVD-rom was done at such low speed? while the same media works perfectly fine on the PS2(2 years old) and the burner itself?
