I can say I am still able to burn CDRW disc with no problem
but no more CDR at all , I’ve tried different media but with no luck,
even at low speed .

performing nero cd speed I get this error instead:
Error - NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION (000000

Any hints?

Thanks
BudO

Install the burner on another computer & try burning.

What is the source material that you are trying to burn?

Why is the Format set to Mode 2 / XA? You are not burning a multisession disc. Set the Format to Mode 1.

If you are burning in DAO, check Finalize CD (No further writing possible).

@Inertia

Multisession CDs can be Mode2/XA

I have created one no probs.

Yes ,
I will try the burner on another PC,
as for the mode2/XA I’ve never had a problem with that ,isn’t it the default setting?

I get error burning everything from avis to simple data files,
what bogus me is that I can write rewritable media without error, why?

Thanks
BudO

Just tried mode1 with no luck ,
I was burning 3 AVIs while at 78% a write error occurred, here is the log:

I’ll return the drive .
I’ve a plex 12/10/32 in my office and is rock solid , should I get a last generation plex ?

I have created one no probs. [/B]

darshanjog, who said that multisession CD’s can’t be Mode2/XA?

Mode2/XA is for multisession recording to ensure backwards compatibility with old CD-ROM players that may not be able to read Mode 1 multisession discs. As such, Mode2/XA is an obsolescent setting since all current CD-ROM’s can read Mode 1 multisession discs.

budorange had multisession turned off in his Nero log settings, so there was no point in a Mode2/XA recording (if there ever was).

Thanks for your advice.

I thought you were saying that there are some problems if you record a Mode 2/XA Multisession disc.

Thanks Inertia for the Info
