Problem(s) with my BENQ 1640

CD, DVD and (Ultra HD) Blu-ray Writers

When i try to burn a iso (4gb+) as file on the disk usind nero and udf it has always read errors in the beginning of the disk. But when burnig other data in iso mode or even is udf mode it has no errors. Also I am hearing some vibration noise when the drive slows down to a slower speed like burning 8x dvd at the end but the read errors are at the begining. Could it have something to do with daemon tools and SCSIPassThrough or is the drive broken?

Welcome to the forum.

Nero isn’t the best at verification , what would be better would be to burn with ImgBurn & tick the verify box on that. There is no better image burning app than this.

Having said that it quite likely that the media you’re using is the problem. Using Nero’s CD-DVD Speed post back the brand & Media/Manufacturer ID. It’s the disc info tab that’ll tell you this.

I mean actually burning the image FILE on the disk.
Just tried to burn the image “normal”. Same error on beginning of disk.
Then I burend some movies it worked but the drive slows down at beginning of the verify for a short while. I guess Its the drive…

Does the content on disc play in your computer and/or standalone DVD player?

Sofar to little information provided to draw any conclusion. What kind of “ISO” are you burning and what media are you using.

In cases like this Nero CD/DVD Speed (direct link) might be useful.
Choose; Create Disc --> image burn in CD/DVD Speed, burn your iso, save and post that window and I’m sure we’ll be able to assist you further.

ok tried again with imageburn this time: same result
the odd thing is that i can burn movies (files) without error
