Well thats generalizing it a bit, but to each his/her own.
The 716A is not a 'shitty' drive, at least not in my experience. Mine has worked flawlessly and I know many that own the drive and have no problems. I suppose that could be construed as generalizing also, but I digress.
Yes the 760A is a better drive, as it should be. When my 716 decides to die, if the 760 is the current model, it will be my first consideration.
I have yet to have a negative Plextor experience. Whether the price premium of their drives is worth it, one must make that decision on their own.
