Problem Copying Dvd On Sony Dru 720a

Hi

I'm a newbie who is having trouble making copies of 3 dvds that were sent to me. The source discs are TDK dvd-r, 8x, 4.7gb. The source discs read fine, but when it comes to making a copy on a +r disc -forget it. The copy discs are Memorex dvd+r, 8x, 4.7 gb, rw. I'm using Nero OEM to try to burn them. I've used the verify function on Nero to see if the source discs are ok & they are. They are not protected.

So what am I doing wrong?
