Possibly, a firmware update might resolve your issue. Firmwares have an internal database of supported media and the corresponding write strategy for each media. Go here for firmwares.
Besides that, I think I have to mention another fact as well: the quality of Ritek media is not stable. Although the quality of these media is getting better since some time, there are still dips in the quality. So don't be wondered if you caught a bad batch.... happened to me twice as well!
