My burner came with my computer—and my computer is about 14 months old. It will read some commercial CD’s-but wont read others. I do have Nero installed, and PowerISO. Nothing to my knowledge has changed. I have several different types of dvd brands that I have used and I still get the same thing. The only new program I have installed is a translator progrm. I checked the DMA and one of them is checked…the other one it is not showing the DMA box —will not tell me whta the program is but says it is working properly.

You can’t have bad sectors on a cd or dvd burner. How old are your burners?
Do they read commercial dvds and cd’s?
Do you have programs such as blindwrite, alcohol120, or other cd/dvd type softwares installed on your pc? How about Nero INCD or Sonic DLA?
What has changed between when it worked, and now? Have you changed brands or types of dvd’s?? Have you installed new programs?
Have you check to see if your DMA is enabled for your drives? http://club.cdfreaks.com/f61/troubleshooting-enabling-checking-dma-windows-vista-xp-2000-me-9x-101616/[/QUOTE]
