A German privacy watchdog today ruled that Facebook has to immediately stop storing and using data of the about 35 million German users of its messaging app WhatsApp. Facebook is also ordered to delete all data that has already been forwarded by WhatsApp.

About time! The coupling of apps are the biggest threat to the online society and whatever little they have left of privacy (don’t laugh, it really is little if you are on social media and use Google).

The fact that there are no challenges to Facebook’s mass spying in the US means that the US is far more captured then the EU. If only we could get rid of the mass-bribery in congress, then the world would be a better place for Americans and everyone else (America has a nasty tendency to force it’s horrible laws on other countries via its “free trade” deals).
