Primera Bravo 4102 DVD replacement fails

I am a volunteer tech at our church and duplicate the sunday service using a Bravo 4102. Last week the arm was having problems picking up the disk from the lower burner. I watched it and it looked like the tray wasn’t fully ejecting. I could quickly reach in and tug it about 1/8" and the arm would be able to pick it up. Did some searching and some of these drives fail to fully eject when they get older. I looked up that Primera was using a Lite-On Premium drive in their newest machines, so I ordered one. (not from Primera)

Sunday, I took the machine apart, swapped the drives and I am having the same problem and it is worse.

Not sure what to try now?
