OK so i added a new HD to my pc and it keeps saying as it’s booting primary master and then secondary slave… why is this? i want it to be both in primary dont i? because in this configuration i don’t “see” the added HD in My Computer

No, your primary drive will contain your existing operating system.

To see the new hard drive in My Computer (I’m assuming you are using XP), you are going to have to go to Control Panel–>Computer Management–>Disk Management. Then you’ll have to initialize and format the new drive using NTFS file system.

If you need a guide, take a look at this one: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/adding-a-hard-drive8.htm

It would also be good to know your motherboard and hardware setup whether you have IDE or Sata connections…

I suspect this is a P_ATA setup.
