Premium or 708A, which is the better '2 sheep' burner?

Hi everyone,
As you can guess from the title, I’m trying to determine which one is the better 2 sheep burner, or if they are equals.

I have both, the Premium with f/w 1.04 and the 708A with f/w 1.03.

Aside from the sheep test, what about real world results from backup attempts of SD 2.9 titles?

All comments are welcome

  • This drive is actually some kind of rebadged PX-20Tsi.

As a short comment: I can tell that the PX-708A also refused to
play a copy of “Pirates of the Caribbean”, made with my litey, and
it does play with the original. This drive seems to be very picky.
I’ll investigate this as soon as possible.

Thanks man

It seems from your tests, the Premium had a better success rate.

Were you using firmware 1.04 in the Premium and 1.03 in the 708A?

Yes, as you can see from my previous post. I use the latest firmware for both drives. The drives dont use the same firmware.

Cool, thanks…
Just verifying you used the latest firmware with each drive.

By the way I reburned “pirates” with the PX-708A, just to be sure about
the results, and they seems to be correct.

(A little off topic)
Guess I was right about the PX-708A, being picky. As the only drive,
it doesn’t recognize the copy made by my: LTR-48126@52246.
