"military productivity" - isn't that a contradiction in terms?
Wouldn't the more appropriate term be "military destructivity" ?
There are many pitfalls in using PowerPoint and I won't try to mention more than a few, but some big ones are:
People can waste endless hours making pretty PowerPoint slides for a meeting, where the same information could have been presented in no time at all using a whiteboard/flip-over and marker.
Too much information crammed into one slide using small fonts makes the whole thing completely unreadable by the audience
Presenters reading aloud from PowerPoint slides is about as interesting as watching paint dry
