The latest true Plextors handle these newer T02 discs a lot better than the older ones (712-series) in my experience. Probably due to the improved WOPC and AutoStrategy.

That ihas524 got a superior result in comparison with your other devices. Whatā€™s the deal with that? Looks to be a Lite-On iHAS524 24X SATA drive, selling for maybe $25.

There was a circular smudge/scratch patter on the disc that caused the speed drop. It didnā€™t seem to hurt the burn quality much though.
