Very nice Two Degrees. I guess I should have stated that the first scan posted in a new thread should leave some room for improvement.

This one is equal to Two Degrees’ scans above in my opinion, but since we’re using different drives for the scans it’s impossible to know.

None of the 712A drives I’ve owned ever really did that great with this MID, but this isn’t a bad burn. Discs were made in Taiwan by CMC Magnetics, lot number ZD4845-DVR-I47C.

BenQ CD-DVD Speed scan of the previous burn.

Two Degrees, amazing burn! I wonder if we will every see 18x burns that looks like that (not from this drive of course).

Taiyo Yuden -R 16x (TYG03) sold by Panasonic
PX-708a, FW 1.12
Burn speed 4x CLV, no slowdown

Good old 708a knowing how to use -R 16x media. A bit higher PIE values but very regular and nothing critical. This from a batch of media that shows higher PIE values in the 755 and 760 drives too.

Proof that some 16x media can be burnt @ 4x with great results (higher speeds don’t yield results as nice)
