Have a look what my "old baby" (my first DVD burner ever) is still able to produce on good quality media.

Firmware is 1.A3, and I think quality is superb

Yep, I agree my nec 1100A produced some great burns at the time.
Scanning my 1100A burns from 3-4 years ago, I still get great results.
Let me dig up some scans for you...
