Here is my RAID0 array. 2 x 36 GB Raptors in RAID 0. They are the old school original Raptors. I have had them since they were released. My next upgrade will probably be three or four 7200.11’s or Velocoraptors. The 7200.11’s have almost as good performace, and actually beat the raptors (v1 and v2) in a few tests except sustained transfer. The 7200.11s are much much cheaper.

Of course the new VRaptors beat them in most if not all tests, but not by huge margins.

My Burst rate has always been high, even when I had a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe.
