Burnsama, don’t know the status in US but here in Europe Philips is using INFOMEDIA-R30 DVD-R MID frequently.

Compare this aged beauties burn with burn on same media with Pioneer 115D@115 and a DW1640.

Another great burn, but tray is stucking in this drive, maybe it’s time for replace.

The tray stucks because the tray opening belt slips on the belt pulley of the tray driving motor. I have fixed this by opening the drive and cleaning the belt and the pulley. They are located in the frontal part of the drive, behind the front cover.

To prevent the belt slipping in the future, it can be wiped with alcohol with small amount of colophony dissolved.
