bob has given the answer, if that is all you want, just download the latest 116D and 216D firmware, patch the firmware with MCSE and flash the drive, for RPC1, patch the flasher also, unless you use DVRFlash

#106

That’s the problem, he doesn’t want to use MSCE to add bitsetting, he wants something with default bitsetting support since he believes the Buffalo firmware burns better and had a bad MSCE experience with the 112D from this thread.

#107

There is absolutely nothing ‘Wrong’ with Forum Member ala42 Media Code Speed Edit tool in patching Pioneer DVR-116D and Pioneer DVR-216D Firmware with the RPC1, Increase Read Speed, and/or Enable BitSetting patches.

Unjustly implying that there is not doing justice to Forum Member ala42 hard and relentless work that he has and continues to put into the Media Code Speed Edit tool.

bjkg

Regards,
bjkg[/QUOTE]ya i’ve never had a problem with MCSE and have run drive killing tests like many others have here for ala42. I have drives i would have never bought if ala42 and MCSE wasn’t around

So this means it’s impossible to flash a 116D to a 116L at the moment?
