You might not believe it, but as already reported here, LG released firmware CL01 for the GSA-H62N. To make downloading the 5 month old firmware dated 07/06/25 easier, it is currently available on the german LG site http://de.lgservice.com only :(. Navigation is like on the other LG sites, e.g. http://au.lgservice.com.

Some additional info about the GSA-H62N CL01 firmware anounced above: The firmware obviously is the test firmware used by the german Chip computer magazine in their GSA-H62N review. Chip removed the drive from their best list on 20th November because the firmware still was not available to customers, caused by lots of discussions of angry buyers the the Chip forum. One day later the firmware was online on the german LG site only. Also the filename GSAH62N_CL01-T0.zip indicates it is a test version, so use it with care.

OK, just to be clear the 2 h62 firmwares are just the stock ones with nothing new? I put the CL01 on mine and seems to work though not sure it’s way better
I have the N version if it makes a difference.

Dare my hopes be dasjed, is that a new firmware for the H62L, or just the default shipping firmware?

#52

If you have the H62L, why dont you just compare the Firmware Versions?
Its just the default firmware.

But now its possible to patch the firmware.

I know nothing about DVD burner firmware. I just know my read performance is abysmal.
