i purchased a Western Digital ext HDD that is Fat32. i would like to place my movie file in that Hdd so i can play it on my ps3. problem is i get a message saying that the file is too large when the Hdd is 640gb. can this be done w/out using a bd-r?
FAT32 has a file size restriction of 4GB. There is no way around that. One option is to split the movie into 2 files.

thx. is there a software that can do this? will the splitting of the file (blu ray)cause quality loss?
Do you now have a .m2ts file? or what? If .m2ts, simply use tsmuxeR, and use the split file feature…No quality loss…
ok, i successfully converted 3 .m2ts files. connected the Hdd to my ps3, found my Hdd. i created a VIDEO folder in my Hdd. my ps3 located my BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders. now how do i play the file(s)? thx.
nevermind. i think i got it.
