OK I was tired and should have been more careful. I have managed to erase the firmware of my iHAS 624-24 B using the xbox tool Jungleflasher (I did not check which SATA port I was on). The drive is now lifeless and is no longer showing in Windows XP 32bit Device manager nor in responding in Jungleflashers MTK flash screen after I rebooted later (after a sleep). I have tried to update using LiteOn PLDS SmartPack and CodeGuys Flash Utility. Neither Worked.
I did have the forethought to read and save the .bin file before I foolishly erased.
Neither worked as they cannot recognise/find the drive. Should I dump this 3 week old drive or is there a way I can blind flash the bin file back using Dos Flash maybe. Another thought I had was to buy another iHas 624-T32 B. Get that recognised by Windows. Read the file and hot swap drives before pressing write ?
Am I being too simplistic and Optimistic ? I'm a bit of a Noob with Flashing Firmware .
With thanks if anyone has any Ideas.
