Guess Snowden been right all along…“Trust US we are protecting you” while invading your systems

Wait until the “people” they are “protecting” start pushing back against their power/control grab. Then we will see just what we have allowed them to do to us. To many governments, the Internet has become a fantastic tool to coerce and control the masses. They also see it as a tool the masses can use to control them. They want the former to be reality rather than the latter and it is ridiculous how most people are sitting idly by and letting them take their personal freedoms without resistance.

Trading Security for Liberty ? doesn’t sound like a good idea to myself when you can have both and have had both for many years.

Trading Liberty for Security is what I meant.

Here’s another side of the story…did one not think to ask was Kaspersky themself the one that created this malware?

I think Kris Kristofferson summed it up in this song.
The Law Is For Protection Of The People
These are some of the lyrics:

So thank your lucky stars you’ve got protection
Walk the line, and never mind the cost
And don’t wonder who them lawmen was protecting
When they nailed the savior to the cross.

‘Cause the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see
We don’t need no riddle speaking prophets
Scarin’ decent folks like you and me, no siree.
