Porn studios suing thousands more file-sharers in the USA.

[newsimage]http://static.rankone.nl/images_posts/2010/10/h1Phq.jpg[/newsimage]More film studios in the porn industry are beginning to take a tough stance toward piracy of their work by filing lawsuits against alleged file-sharers and subpoenaing ISPs for the personal information of “John Doe” defendants.

Here is an industry that spams the shit out of our children and they are suing? I think it is time for a major class action against the porn industry. Leave it to a bunch of coke head, glorified hookers and their cronies. What is it coming to…

O crap there goes my stock op–just kidding this is proof that the system sucks when porn companies can buy lawyers and judges to sue for things that should be thrown out of the courts system. There’s so much porn advertising that influence young people into thinking a easy way to make money. They don’t see the down size. And I don’t think either side is right and it should be thrown out instead of plugging up the courts.

It would appear that once again Shakespear’s opinion and solution to Lawers was on the money. Hard to tell which is the more vile form of slime,
the Producers or thir Lawers.

I hope it is a jury trial showing the evidence to the jury would be great.
The news channels would love showing parts of the movies they use as evidence on the nightly news to

I don’t see this going far. Didn’t some government officals get caught looking at porn while the country was melting down? I don’t think some so called “fatcats” want to get caught in any kinds of scandals. I see this dying very quickly, and very quietly. Although I know I’m not on the list, so I’d like it too go public, it’s always fun to see celebs and public figures squirm. Although I want FULL disclosure, all names revealed.

RLA, you speak like someone truly ignorant. I have operated an adult site for almost a decade. I run a legitimate S-corp, pay my taxes and I have never done cocaine. I have been the with same woman faithfuly for 12 years if you would like to know hat tidbit. You would be shocked if you knew the healthy normal people who use our products. Stats show probably one out of every three people you shake hands with at church. This law suit is about creating something that has a cost and having it stolen.

Yeah! I’m sure you post in the interest of fairness and have no financial interest whatsoever. While you might be the last guy on the Internet operating a “legit” porn site I find it amazing that a kid can not even begin to surf the Internet without being bombarded by smut from warez sites promoting stealing software while promoting online porn. I think everyone gets who is paying for that action.

It is incredible the things people call legit these days, but you apparently have the right to sell your goods as long as your community allows it. I just can’t muster a lot of sympathy for the industry. If my observations make me ignorant I am hoping your church going customers pray that I get worse.

I am not involved in the lawsuit so my only gain is to sell what I produce rather then have it stolen. Is that not reasonable and pretty American? As for your thinking everyone gets a cut of torrent downloads, comon man, torrents are full of intellectual property of all kinds and like a movies studio or singer it does not benefit me to have 100ks of people get my stuff for free. Your logic is off.

As for children parents need to protect their children from a great deal of things online, trust me sex is not the most dangerous thing out there. I use three different services that block my site from children provided a parent has used even the most basic censoring software. I require this of the people I work with as well. This is common place. In fact if you want to highlight my greed, lets do that. Children don’t have credit cards and we don’t take cash so why do I want kids there?

What I want is for people to take a second and realize that the “Porn” biz has good legal elements as well. When someone like you calls me a coke addict because I want to protect something I work hard to make and invest time into, that is where I feel the need to speak up and highlight weak thought processes.

Week thought processes? I see there is a lot of room for debate there. Nevertheless, the history of the porn business speaks for itself and until there is a record that demonstrates otherwise folks are going to take the available data and form opinions. The porn business, specifically the adult movie/feature industry (which is what the suits are all about) clearly has demonstrated an above average number of issues involving drugs and statistically seems to have a higher instance of legal issues than most other business entities, except perhaps organized crime.

I do know that the overwhelming negative public perception of the porn business wont be affected by a whole lot in this forum. The ideal that there may well be a heard of folks who profess one thing and partake of another is not a surprise. That seems to be the nature of the beast.

Nevertheless, a whole lot of somebodys in the porn business is paying for that advertising and those spam emails that seem to consume a big chunk of Internet traffic and those ads are not particular about where they land. You may not be advertising, but a heck of a lot of porn entrepreneurs are.
