Warez is the killer app for broadband. Anyone who spends $ 50 /month and does not max is out is crazy. I do spend a lot on blank CDs & DVDs for some reason…

"The adult entertainment sector has increased its reach year on year in all European markets except Italy, where, not coincidentally, broadband access is the relative lowest in Europe,’’ the report said. Greece has no broadband whatsoever!!! so Italy doesnt have the lowest broadband access by all means  Again Greece wins the prize! But then again, some people could argue we are not in Europe

here those with real broadband access (i call it a working 640 Kb/s and up…) should be called “blessed”… :frowning: porn ain’t illegal, anyway :+

I agree Im always D/l something from Kazaa or Edonkey. But the profit margin has declined in the porn industry at least thats what my friends says who runs some porn sites

Download porn over broadband? Damn, I knew there was something I forgot to do today! :d

#9

It would seem that pornography is more important to technological innovations than is the space program.

#10

i honestly believe porn has driven broadband, and not vice versa.

#11

I was looking at porn long before they invented the term broadband.

First the RIAA and now we will see the porn industry go tackle this problem. Hmmm, I would like to watch a court TV about this case of someone infringing on porn and have Judge Judy be the judge. Porn Industry vs. admin. I tink would b funny :g:B

You still download pr0n? I thought you had everything

I was reading alt.sex.pictures.* before there was an alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.* And remember the old text based porn that you had to print and look at from across the room? (Hmm…do you suppose early computer porn drove printer sales?)

the flatrate providers don’t like edonkey etc. because it causes 70% of all network traffic. you can be seen in log-files and on ipconfig because peer-to-peer shows all ip’s connected, unless you use a secure client software like the successor to gnutella: secure filesharing from nullsoft, winamp’s developers: http://rss.com.com/2100-1032_3-1011585.html?type=pt&part=rss&tag=feed&subj=news windows binaries still available: http://www.dhorrocks2003.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/waste-setup.exe windows sources still available: http://www.dhorrocks2003.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/waste-source.zip linux binaries still available: http://grazzy.mjoelkbar.net/waste-linux.tar.gz linux sources, waste-source.tar.gz, unavailable

lol. one HAS simply to reply to this article. You know, 25 years ago porn was the driving force behind videorecorder sales. 5 years ago it has become the driving force behind dvd sales (porn with multiple angles, yammi :B). And today it’s the driving force behind broadband purchase. And? Are we surprised? Not at all!

Of course none of our CD Freaks visitors are downloading porn
lol, good one. of course we do! my mirc and kazaa will soon go on strike, 'cause I exploit them the whole day and night long, searching the net for porn. :B. And broadband helps here, of course. If one has dialup, he will use his limited bandwidth for more important downloads. But I have a bandwidth of 105 kb/s. I can download a “normal” movie from kazaa at 50 and then enough bandwidth is left to download one of those adult movies in no time.

must be a slow news day at news.com. Belongs in the “as if we didn’t know” category.
