Didn't people use to think that freeing the slaves was harmful to our economy? How do we know piracy isn't the right thing to do, but our generation doesn't see it. Just like at one time a whole generation didn't see it was wrong to keep slaves. I mean they had free room and board, and job secruity right. That's more that I have today right? And even though freeing them was bad for the economy because all the free labor was gone, well it was still the right thing to do. If you do what's right for soceity, if you pay attention, it usually is bad for the economy. Money and justice are two different things. I mean, look at how much money the court system itself costs us.
