I just posted the article PlexWriter 16/10/40A review.

HolyCow used our newssubmit to tell us that TheDukeOfURL has a review of the PlexWriter 16/10/40A. Of course the PlexWriter has not let him down, and the cons are only that they had a hard time…

Don’t you think this review is a little bit too late, The plexwriter 16x exist already for almost 4 months.

yes far too late… it`s like testing a pentium 100 cpu at this moment…

What I am still waiting for is the SCSI version. And I’m a bit hesitant even then because other companies have released drives in the 20 range for burning speeds. Plextor is aimed at the pro market so what’s with the huge lag in the release of all the SCSI drives behind the IDE ones? Maybe the burn proof saves buffer underruns but I still like knowing my Drive isn’t on one of my IDE slots and is on a nice SCSI connection  Plextor - if your reading this - I WANT SCSI!!! Preferably on your next drive your about to release, not a SCSI release of this drive when you next release a 24 speed burner IDE drive

YES,SCSI IS THE BEST FUCK THE REST

How does this compare to the TDK’s “cyclone”?

I have this drive. Bought it about 3 months ago. Its a great drive. Got rid my Scsi card once and for all. This drive can burn allot better then my old scsi cdr. But I still have to use my old burner to burn safedisk 2 games. Plextor is not going to support RAW writing in its firmware it announced after I bought the drive. If I would have known that before I would have bought another name brand. :frowning:
