PlexUTILITIES on non plextor drive

I know plexutilities won’'t install unless you have a plextor drive, but does anyone know how to fool the software into thinking you have a plextor drive? Maybe some regedit trick?

I think, this will not be possible…

If you dont have a LiteOn-Plextor drive, PlexUtilities wont run.

Even on my Plextor PX-860SA (which is a Pioneer DVR-217) Plextools don`t work…

It uses the WMI service to detect the Plextor is installed. It could be made to work with a LiteOn but I’m not sure there would be much demand for it.
