Were these real Plextors, or was this already into their oem stage? How's the burn quality compared to a 40/12/40a or a Premium?
That's the drive between the PX4012 and the Premium. If I remember rightly, they were real Plextors but they don't have the error checking features that the Premium has. The only OEM CD drives in the Plextor range were the early Yamaha 4260 based writer, the cheap 52X drive that came out around the same time as the Premium and the slimline laptop style drives.
PLEXTOR PX-W4824A + PX-W5224A are real plex.don't waste your time with that plex drives.
there are much better drives to burn cd-r.all are much better if the writing/burning quality is very important.
