Plextor PX-W4012TS firmware 1.05 or 1.06?

[qanda]This thread is about the Plextor PLEXWRITER 40X12X40 SCSI. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I have seen a firmware update v 1.06 for the Plextor PX-W4012TS (internal SCSI) … but have been unable to find it anywhere. I’ve contacted Plextor, and they say that the latest firmware for that drive is 1.05 (although they originally sent me 1.06 for the IDE version … 4012A).

I’ve found on the web, that the 1.06 was an official release, correcting issues with TDK CDRs. The Plextor “chat rep” said that he didn’t have it.

Does anyone have the 1.06 firmware for the SCSI version … or any information on this update?

Thanks, but it’s not there either.

However, I was able to track it down somewhere on the web.
I ran it, and it updated to 1.06 just fine.
