[QUOTE=seven8;2781546]My dear friend I am not that advanced to create a firmware dump. If you can guide me I will gladly do it.o
Thank you for willing to give it a try.
You’ll most likely have to use DosFlash to dump the firmware.
The Flash Utility (which would be more straightforward to use than DosFlash) will most likely not be able to dump the firmware from these drives. You can try and see if the Read Flash button is enabled or not. Most likely it won’t and you won’t be able to use it to do a firmware dump. You can download the latest Flash Utility copy from this thread: http://club.myce.com/f44/flash-utility-plds-liteon-based-optical-drives-v7-2-0-a-190420/
If the Flash Utility doesn’t work, then you’ll need to use DosFlash instead which can be downloaded from this link: http://digiex.net/attachments/downloads/download-center-2-0/xbox-360-content/apps-pc/7283d1315141712-dosflash-v2-0-build-20110903-download-dosflash_v2.0_build_20110903.rar
Use the 32bit version for a 32bit OS or 64bit version for a 64bit OS. If the program starts OK and it doesn’t complain about not being able to load the portio.sys driver, then things are very easy, just select the right port that will show you the correct drive information in the Device Properties area of the program, and press the Read Flash button.
Depending on the OS you have, you might have to use the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider program to allow the portio.sys interface driver that DosFlash needs to load. Newer versions of Windows insist that drivers need to be signed in order to run, and this program is a workaround for that. You can find a link for this little program here: http://club.myce.com/f44/liteon-ihasx24-drives-crossflashing-within-series-c-d-e-series-revision-drives-333397/index5.html#post2696164
