Plextor PX-712A DVDR Missing Driver

I upgraded my windows XP Home Edition to SP2 and know the computer system can not detect the dvd burner. Can anyone please share how I can get the issue corrected?

Hi scientricity and welcome to CDFreaks. Try deleting the IDE channel the drive is on in the Device Manager under IDE/ATA ATAPI controllers. Once removed restart your PC and windows should reinstall the drive on start up. Windows XP has it own drivers for your drive so you need not look for drivers. Let us know.:wink:
