yeah its a very good drive but quite old these days and is scsi interface

it’s not important is he old if he is better audio ripper then new ones , can you please tell me, how can i connect him to my PC i have ATA and SATA solution?

You need a PCI SCSI HOST ADAPTER CARD
Or 1 with a PCI-E connector if your motherboard has no legacy PCI slot anymore…

is it true that old 40X DVD ROM’s like this have problem with new firmware when they are wotking on XP or WIN7 , i hear he have problem that need 2 minutes to read cd disc ?

Last time I used mine,was on Vista…didn’t have any reading problems,but I forgot what firmware version it has…:o
What do you mean by “2 minutes to read cd disc”?
If you mean that the Plextor only starts reading after 2 minutes spinning,that’s indeed very bad…
If you mean that it needs 2 minutes or a bit more to read the full disc,I think that’s pretty fast,and the cd’s are probably read in burst mode,with more chance to get read errors…
