This drive is a PIO mode 4 device, you should set your BIOS to auto

Subject: Plextor 8432 dma issue with Asus P3B-F
I have a Plextor 8432 and a Asus P3B-F Slot 1 mainboard.
I have this issue with both 1006 bios and the latest beta verssion (Of my
Asus P3B-F mainboard).
My plextor 8432 doesn't work correctly with dma enabled in bios.
The bios doesn't detect it like a dma capable device.
It works under windows 98 with dma enabled only if i set it to NONE in
Standard Cmos Setup.
(this with firmware 1.07)
With firmware 1.09 it gets even worse.
I can't enable dma at all, without crashing windows while recording cds.
This must be an issue with this particular mainboard, because i already
tested with the Asus A7V 133 Socket A mainboard and there was no problem at
all with both firmware 1.07 and 1.09 (for Plextor 8432).
I would just like to know for sure if this is an issue related to my
Plextor drive or to my mainboard, and if it's a Plextor drive problem, when
will a new firmware verssion will be avaiable to
