8MB buffer…even though it’s still far from being a serious capacity for 16x DVD recording, it’s still more than the 2MB standart buffer in the common garbage DVD recorder other companies make (i.e. LG and others…). Plextor are planily considering their own made drives (they sell oem models too) more seriously than other companies…

Plextor is usually late in the game getting out a drive with capabilities that many other manufacturers have had for a while, but when the do hit the market, it’s usually with a drive that one ups the competition in more than one way. I was chomping at the bit to purchase a 16x/dl drive, but I knew Plextor would eventually jump into the market with their own version.:S
