The Plextools tell you the truth. The PX-800 is no real Plextor drive. If I remember correcly the PX-800 is a NEC drive. I’m not 100% sure but I think I read it may be a NEC AD-7170A or NEC AD-7173A . But I may be wrong. You may try the search function…
From what I read there is this section the PX-800 (and the PX-810) does not support quality checks and / or jitter.

The last real Plextor drives were the PX-760A, PX-760SA. The PX-755A and PX-755SA is very similar to the PX-760 series, the difference is the write speed or DVD-R and DVD-R. The PX-760 series may write up to 18x the PX-755 series only up to 16x.
